Dress Code

Dress code for all events is business attire. Congress will be in session and we will be in the House of Representatives and U.S. Capitol during votes. Please be professional.

There will be a substantial amount of walking for the Capitol tour and the concluding reception on 9/11. Please wear comfortable shoes. No tennis shoes. Big high heels are not preferred for this reason.

September 11 Morning Program

8:15 a.m. Program starts.

Cannon House Office Building

You can use any visitor entrance to enter the Cannon Building. The Summit will take place in the "Pelosi Cannon Caucus Room" also known as the Cannon Caucus Room, which is on the 3rd floor facing Independence Ave., just above the open Cannon rotunda. 

The closest Visitor entrance to the Cannon Caucus room is located on New Jersey Ave.  1/2 way up New Jersey in between Independence Ave. and C St.

Directions to the Cannon Caucus Room
If you use the New Jersey Ave. Visitors entrance you will go through the security, just like at the airport. Once inside make a right. The elevator will be directly in front of you on your left. Take it to the 3rd floor. From there make a right off the elevator. Walk the rest of the hall. Make a right at the corner. Pelosi Caucus Room will be on your right.

September 11 Afternoon Program

Transportation & Parking

Uber or Metro are Recommended.
Parking can be challenging.  Here are some travel options:

  1. You can choose to park at Union Station and cab or Uber over to the Longworth House of Representatives, Plan for 8-10 minute ride. You could also choose to walk from there depending about 15-18 minutes.

  2. Come early to find street parking, or

  3. Travel by Metro.  Exit Capitol South.  Upon exiting the Metro make a left, walk to end of the block take a left on C St. Walk 1 block, make a right on New Jersey Ave.  Walk one block.  Meet me on the corner of New Jersey and Independence on the left side of the sidewalk just a few feet in front of the Longworth Building for September 10 Check-in 6:30 SHARP. Also note the visitor’s entrance of the Cannon House Office Building on New Jersey Ave. ON your right. You will use this one on 9/11 for 8:15 a.m. program start.
